Summary
A month has flown past; we hope you are enjoying your conversation lesson book on fifty youth topics. We have discussed areas of blogging, tuitions, slow food movement, please review in the coming days so we can move further into our discussions. Your strongest area in English is pronunciation, perhaps you can purchase a small diary to write down about 5 new words each day from our course, and before you know it, your English will be at a University level. I hope you can continue with excellent progress in our course.
Speaking
The quest to speak advanced English is a long learning curve. In order to succeed, you will have to take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. The key to advancement is to broaden your horizons and keep your ears and mouth firmly open. Be attentive how English-speaking people hold conversations. Listen to the words they use, the intonation, how they express their thoughts through the language, and the common expressions they make. In your small notebook write down words and phrases you heard so you can recall them and practice speaking them later.
Listening
Try to explore more podcast, E-say website has a selection available, that you may find interesting, are you listening to the audio files that were included in your conversation book?Take advantage of the many podcast online that's now available at your fingertips.
Pronunciation
In the reading sessions recently you have begun to speak with clarified speech by becoming less hesitant (shy) in pronouncing those bigger words, wonderful! Pay attention to how sounds combine in normal speech. In spoken English, sounds are often linked or blended together. For example, "Won't you?" sounds something like "Wonchoo?" This blending is a natural, correct part of English; it's not considered lazy speech. There are patterns to these links, or an accent reduction activities we try this coming month in class.
Vocabulary
The course 50 youth topics was selected for you to enrich your vocabulary and capture new vocabulary. When you are question in class (quizzed) you quickly response by applying the newly acknowledge word, into complete sentence well done.
Grammar
I have not seen too much of your written English. So, I encourage you to start your blog back up, but this time with some English articles. I hope you can share some of your articles. We can provide you with some great ideas to help get you started.
